YouTube claim FAQs

  • Can I download a track and use the same Uppbeat Credit in more than one video?

    LibbyCustomer Support Specialist

If you have a free account, the unique Uppbeat Credit generated when you download a track can only be used for one video. If you wish to use a track again, simply re-hit the download button to generate a new Uppbeat Credit for each new video. If you have Uppbeat Premium or Business and have safelisted your YouTube channel, you can download a track once and use it in multiple videos.

  • I forgot to include the Uppbeat Credit, what should I do?

    OliviaCustomer Support Manager

You can still add the Uppbeat Credit to your video's description after it's been published. If you've already received a copyright claim for the video, please ensure the correct Uppbeat Credit is added to your description, then rescan your video using our Claim Release Tool to clear the claim. You can find your previous Uppbeat Credits by going to your Download History in the left hand menu.

  • Where can I find my previous Uppbeat Credits?

    JennahCustomer Support Specialist

You can find the Uppbeat Credits for your previous downloads by heading to My Account and checking your Download History.

  • I've received a claim from someone else!

    OliviaCustomer Support Manager

If the music is not licenced correctly, you may receive a claim from us via our copyright partners Hexacorp/Orfium - not to worry though as these can be easily cleared using our Claim Release Tool.

There are however occasions when our music is registered with YouTube's Content ID system by someone else. This may be accidental but is more likely to be someone fraudulently trying to claim that the music is their own. In these cases, please contact us and we'll look into it pronto!

  • If I stop subscribing, will my content get claims?

    JennahCustomer Support Specialist

If you upgrade to Premium or Bussiness you can safelist your YouTube channels and ensure that copyright claims are automatically cleared for content published on your channel while you're subscribed. If you end your subscription, you don't need to worry about your content as claims won't reappear on videos that were published while your channel was safelisted.
