Motion graphics

  • What software are Uppbeat motion assets compatible with?

    FreddieMotion Graphics Lead

Our Motion Graphics library includes two types of assets, each with different software compatibility:

    1. Drag & Drop - Simple, non-customizable video clips that work with most popular video editing software.

    2. Customizable templates – These templates are designed for specific software. Compatibility details are listed on each asset's preview page. Currently, Uppbeat offers templates for:

    • Premiere Pro

    • After Effects

    • Davinci Resolve

    • MORGT files - Motion Graphics Templates (.mogrt) are exclusive to Premiere Pro and allow for easy customization within the Essential Graphics panel.

Check an asset's page to confirm compatibility before downloading!

  • What is a MOGRT and how do I use it?

    FreddieMotion Graphics Lead

A MOGRT (Motion Graphics Template) is a pre-designed animation template that can be easily customized within Adobe Premiere Pro.

To get started: Extract your .zip file, find your .mogrt files in the Assets folder of your download.

✅ Download and import: Launch Premiere Pro and open your project where you want to add the motion graphics.

✅ Access the Essential Graphics panel: Navigate to Window > Essential Graphics (renamed to Graphics Templates in CC25) to open the panel.

✅ Import the MOGRT File: Click the + (Add) button in the Essential Graphics panel, select Browse, and choose the downloaded .mogrt file.

✅ Apply and customize: Drag the motion graphics template onto your timeline. Use the Essential Graphics panel to customize text, colors, and other editable parameters.

  • What are Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve templates?

    FreddieMotion Graphics Lead

Our templates are project files designed to streamline your video editing and animation workflows.

    ✅ Download the template:
Browse Uppbeat for your desired Adobe file (.prproj, .aep) or DaVinci Resolve file (.drfx) found in the 'Assets' folder of your download.

    ✅ Open in Adobe software:

    • Premiere Pro: Open or import the .prproj file.

    • After Effects: Open the .aep file directly in After Effects.

    • DaVinci Resolve: Import the .drfx or open the Resolve project file.

Specific instructions will be provided in the tutorial within the 'Support' folder of your download.

    ✅ Customize the template:
Modify text, colors, animations, and replace placeholder media with your own assets to tailor the template to your project needs.

    ✅ Save and export:
After customization, save your project and export the final video using Adobe's export settings.

⚠️ Please note: Use templates in their respective applications. Premiere Pro and After Effects templates won't work in DaVinci, and vice versa.

  • What software versions are supported?

    FreddieMotion Graphics Lead

To ensure full compatibility with Uppbeat Motion Graphics, please update your software to the latest available version.

For each asset, you can find the supported software version either on the asset's page, or in the confirmation pop-up when you click to download.

⚠️ Important: Using outdated software versions may result in limited functionality or incompatibility with Uppbeat's motion graphics.

  • How are Motion Graphics downloads organized?

    FreddieMotion Graphics Lead

Uppbeat offers various motion graphics download formats tailored to different usage needs:

  • How do I use Drag & Drop motion assets?

    FreddieMotion Graphics Lead

Uppbeat's Drag & Drop assets are simple video clips that work in any video editing software. Here's how to use them:

✅ Import into your editing software:

    - .mov files (On Alpha) – Supports transparency, so your background will show through automatically.

    - .mp4 files (No Alpha) – These do not have transparency. To remove the background, adjust the blending mode (see below).

    ✅ Understanding downloaded files:

    - Single file downloads – Comes as a direct .mov or .mp4 file.

    - Asset packs – Downloads as a .zip file, containing multiple motion graphics inside the "Assets" folder.

For assets without transparency, see the FAQ below on using blending modes!

  • What does "On Alpha" mean, and how do I remove backgrounds?

    FreddieMotion Graphics Lead

"On Alpha" refers to motion graphics with a built-in transparency layer, meaning your background will show through. These are usually .mov files with an alpha channel.

✅ For "On Alpha" (.mov) files:

    - Import directly into your video editing software - the transparency will be preserved automatically.

✅ For "No Alpha" (.mp4) files:

These do not have transparency, but you can remove the background using blending modes:

    • Screen – Best for light backgrounds.

    • Multiply – Best for dark backgrounds.

You can find blending modes in the Effect Controls panel (or equivalent) in your editing software.
